Of
special Interest: I have heard about a little bump located on maxillary first
molars which is called Carabelli's Cusp. This tooth is the sixth tooth from
the center of your front upper teeth.
People who are strictly of western European origin have the Carabelli cusp bump on that tooth. People who have Native American (Indian) or Asian heritage are missing the bump. The sides of their maxillary first molars will be smooth.
Based upon dental records and other physical elements - a strong possibility of Native American heritage exists. I do not know where the Native American comes in to my genealogy...but I have a strong feeling it will be discovered through a maternal line connected to my Wells family.
The possible family names with a Native American connection could be: Wells, Jay, Elmore, Pugh, Chizum, Peed, Brooks, Vice, Howard, Noland, White, Fagin, Rugg, ?
